Lovely rose cut AAA Nephrite Jade from Brazil.
I created this ring using a couple of different metal techniques. The top was made using a vintage jewelry die. This takes heating a pressing the silver into a mold several times. The band was made using whats called a texture plate in a rolling mill. Both textures have a mid century modern vibe to them.
The top is slightly domed and had some silver stacked on the underside to keep the top raised. This helps prevent it from hitting your knuckle.
The stone is 5/8" (16mm) wide and has an 18K yellow gold bezel. The sunburst top is 1-3/8" (35mm) across. The shank is wide at 3/8" (9mm). The ring is solid sterling silver, plus the gold bezel.
Size 9. The ring sits on a sizer between 9-9.25. Because of the wide band, it wears as a size 9.
