This is one heavy duty pendant! Lots of silver and designs on both sides.
The stone is called Dendrite Rhyolite from the Sonora Desert. It has the most amazing patterns. The background looks like wood grain and the dendrites are a crackling branch going through out. The colors are tan, burgundy, pinks and whites.
I first did the back of the setting, hand stamping the circle pattern with a tiny punch. Then I added an extra thick bezel which is also hand stamped. This makes the pendant enjoyable front and back.
The sterling silver chain is super thick and sturdy with a hook and eye closures that mimic the pattern on the pendant. The pendant is 1-5/8" round (42mm) and almost 1/4" thick (5.5mm).
The necklace can be worn at 16" or 18". Truly a unique and one of a kind statement necklace.
