These winged skull earrings have a cute mini geode gemstone accent.
There were several steps to create the layers. I hand stamped the wings and soldered them with the cast skull to some silver sheet. After sawing them out, I created a prong setting for the geodes and brought it all together. I finally gave them a dark patina with a brushed finish.
The little geodes are are a grey-black color with a green hue in the background. They are lightweight and have a nice sparkle to them.
The earrings are 2-1/8" long (54mm) from the very top of the ear wire to the bottom of the geode. Handmade ear wires in sterling silver. Each earring weighs 5.3 grams.
